The first ¡°Across-Straits Urology Symposium¡± was held in 1995. From then on it had been held on the mainland and Taiwan alternatively. In 1998 it was changed to ¡°Global Chinese Urology Academic Conference¡±, which is held with the National Urology Academic Conference at the same time.

1979
Wu Jieping, Ma Yongjiang, Ma Tengxiang, Xie Tong and Gu Fangliu attended the International Urology Academic Conference. Wu Jieping was China¡¯s national representative.

2000
The number of Chinese participants at the International Urology Academic Conference reached 164. Gu Fangliu was elected as one of the presidents.

1990
The Asian Urology Academic Conference was established. Wu Jieping was one of the directors. Gu Fangliu became one of the directors in 1993 and was elected as President of the fifth conference in 2000 when Guo Yinglu became one of the directors.

1988, 1991, 1995, 2004
International Symposium on Urology was held in Beijing, organized by Institute of Urology, Peking University. 300-400 people attended the symposium, including president and secretary of the International Society of Urology and famous urologists from Europe and America.

1997
Chinese and Korean Urology Academic Conference was held in Beijing.

August, 2000
The 5th Asian Urology Academic Conference was held in Beijing. 2162 people attended the conference, including 632 foreign urologists from 25 countries and regions. 857 academic theses were collected.
